# Introduction

The Navigator API V2 provides programmatic access to the [ProtectedSeas Navigator](https://navigatormap.org/) dataset and [web map](https://map.navigatormap.org/). It supports:

* **Search** — text, spatial, and date-based search for regions and sites, with filtering by\
category, [Level of Fishing Protection](https://navigatormap.org/methodology/#lfp-section) (LFP), and individual fishing and marine-activity\
regulations. Includes a dedicated data-synchronization mode.
* **Site Details** — detailed attributes, regulations, and metadata for a single site.
* **Boundary** — full GeoJSON boundaries for regions and sites.
* **Region Stats** — summary LFP coverage statistics by region.

All examples in this documentation are live requests against the production API.
